The ANWETECH 20 MPa IG541 Inert Gas Fire Suppression System is a total flooding fire suppression solution using a mixture of nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide.

The IG541 extinguishing agent is colourless, odourless, non-toxic and non-conductive. Description

Product Overview

The ANWETECH IG541 system is a high-pressure gaseous fire suppression system with a storage pressure of 20.0 MPa.

IG541 extinguishing agent consists of naturally occurring atmospheric gases:

  • Nitrogen (N₂): 52% ± 4%
  • Argon (Ar): 40% ± 4%
  • Carbon Dioxide (CO₂): 8% +1% / -0.0%

The agent suppresses fire primarily by reducing the oxygen concentration inside the protected enclosure to a level that does not support combustion.

It is suitable for total flooding protection against Class A surface fires, Class B flammable-liquid fires and energized electrical hazards that can be safely protected inside enclosed spaces.

The system can be configured either as a combined distribution system, where one extinguishing system serves multiple protected zones, or as a unit independent system dedicated to one individual protected area.

 System Operation

When a fire is detected, the fire protection control system can initiate the alarm, equipment linkage, time delay and cylinder release sequence.

The extinguishing agent is released from the storage cylinders through the manifold and distribution pipework to the discharge nozzles installed within the protected area.

Automatic Control

When the extinguishing controller is set to automatic mode, a fire signal can initiate:

Fire Detection → Audible & Visual Alarm → Equipment Linkage → Delay → Valve / Cylinder Release → IG541 Discharge

The source manual specifies a preset 30-second delay in the described automatic control sequence.

Electrical Manual Control

16. Installation & Maintenance

The system should be installed, commissioned and maintained by trained personnel familiar with high-pressure gaseous fire suppression systems.

The manual requires routine inspection to include checks of:
