Description

Product Overview

The AT-ESS01 Explosion Proof Strobe Sounder is an ATEX certified audible and visual alarm device designed for industrial hazardous areas where explosive gas or combustible dust may be present.

When the connected fire alarm controller or alarm output circuit activates the alarm, the AT-ESS01 provides both a clear fire alarm tone and a visible LED warning signal. This helps personnel quickly recognize emergency conditions and take evacuation or response actions according to the site safety procedure.

The product is suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 explosive gas atmospheres, Zone 21 and Zone 22 combustible dust atmospheres, and Group IIA, IIB and IIC gas environments. With stainless steel housing, IP65 protection, DC24V operation, and 90–110dB sound output, it is suitable for oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, petrochemical sites, hazardous warehouses, fuel storage areas, and explosion-proof fire alarm systems.

Wiring / Output / Relay

The AT-ESS01 operates with a DC24V alarm circuit.

Wiring method:

  1. Unscrew the junction box cover.
  2. Connect the DC24V cable to the terminal blocks.
  3. The DC24V cable connection is non-polarized according to the source manual.
  4. After wiring, close and tighten the junction box cover.

Power requirement:

Operating voltage: DC24V
Alarm current: ≤250mA

Alarm operation:

When the fire alarm controller or alarm circuit sends an activation signal, the AT-ESS01 outputs a fire alarm tone and activates the LED visual warning signal. The device provides audible and visual notification for personnel in hazardous areas.

Relay output:

No relay output is specified in the source manual. The AT-ESS01 is used as a non-addressable explosion proof strobe sounder connected to a fire alarm control panel, manual call point circuit, or alarm output circuit.
