Description

Product Overview

The ANWETECH AT-LD101 Water Leak Detection Cable System is designed to monitor water leakage and other conductive liquid leakage along a sensing cable route. It is suitable for areas where early leak detection and accurate leak location are important, such as data centers, IDC rooms, archives, libraries, warehouses, equipment rooms and smart buildings.

When water or conductive liquid touches the leak sensing cable, the AT-LD101 module detects the change, activates the alarm output, and displays the leak location on the LCD screen. The leak position is shown in meters, helping maintenance teams quickly locate the leakage point and reduce inspection time.

The system supports RS485 communication with MODBUS-RTU protocol, allowing integration with BMS, PLC, monitoring panels or remote alarm systems. It also provides dry contact relay outputs for leak alarm and fault indication.

Wiring / Signal Output Description

The AT-LD101 module connects to the leak sensing cable through dedicated sensing cable terminals. The leak location is calculated from the start sequence of the sensing cable. Leader cable length is not included in the displayed leak location.

The module provides two relay outputs:

  • Alarm Output: COM1–NO1, normally open, closes when leakage is detected.
  • Fault Output: COM2–NO2, normally closed during normal operation, opens during cable fault or wiring fault.

The relay outputs are dry contacts. They are suitable for signal input to fire alarm panels, BMS, PLC, monitoring panels, sounder circuits or remote alarm modules. For high-current or high-voltage equipment, an interposing relay must be used.

The RS485 port supports MODBUS-RTU communication. It can be connected to a BMS, PLC or remote monitoring system to read module status, cable fault status and leak location.

Installation / Mounting Notes

The AT-LD101 module should be installed inside a control cabinet, electrical enclosure or waterproof box. The module itself is not designed for direct outdoor or wet-area exposure.

The sensing cable should be installed along the potential leakage path, such as under water pipes, around equipment bases, under raised floors, near drainage channels, around storage areas or along perimeter risk zones.

Installation notes:

  • Install the module in a dry and accessible location.
  • Use DIN35 rail mounting for the module.
  • Avoid installing the sensing cable near high-temperature sources.
  • Avoid sharp edges or objects that may damage the cable jacket.
  • Avoid strong magnetic field areas when possible.
  • Use shielded twisted-pair cable for RS485 communication.
  • Use dedicated leader cable and connectors when available.
  • Do not directly control high-power devices through the module relay output.
  • Use an interposing relay when connecting valves, pumps, fans or other external equipment.
