SS231 LoRaWAN Audible and Visual Alarm | Wireless Sounder Strobe

No.AT-SS23
The ANWETECH AT-SS231 is a wall-mounted LoRaWAN® audible and visual alarm designed to provide local sound and flashing-light notification after receiving an alarm command from a configured LoRaWAN network server or management platform. It combines a high-output siren, flashing beacon, built-in LoRa antenna and DC 12 V power input for wireless alarm notification applications.

Description

Product Overview

The AT-SS231 is a wireless alarm output device based on the LoRaWAN® 1.0.2 / 1.0.3 communication protocol. It is designed to receive alarm commands through a configured LoRaWAN network and activate audible and visual warning locally.

When an associated sensor or system event is triggered, alarm information is transmitted through the LoRaWAN network to the management platform. The platform can then send a downlink command to the AT-SS231 to activate its siren and flashing light.

The product is intended for indoor applications where wireless alarm command transmission and local audible/visual notification are required.

Detection Distance / Performance Data

The AT-SS231 is an alarm output device and does not detect smoke, heat or fire by itself. It requires an alarm command from the configured LoRaWAN network/server platform.

Wireless communication performance specified in the manual includes:

  • Receiver sensitivity: -141 dBm at SF=12
  • Maximum link budget: 167 dB
  • Maximum transmit power: 20 dBm
  • Data transfer rate: 300 bps to 5.4 kbps

Actual LoRaWAN communication performance depends on the gateway, installation environment, building structure, radio frequency band and project configuration.

Wiring / Signal Output Description

The AT-SS231 operates from a DC 12 V power supply and must be connected with correct polarity.

The manual specifies:

  • Power supply: DC 12 V
  • Working current: ≤28 mA
  • Transmit current: ≤125 mA
  • Recommended power cable: BV wire with conductor cross-sectional area ≥1.5 mm²

Alarm activation is controlled through LoRaWAN communication rather than a conventional hardwired alarm signal input.

Installation / Mounting Notes

The AT-SS231 is designed primarily for wall-mounted installation.

For installation:

  • Select an indoor location with reliable LoRaWAN communication coverage.
  • The source manual recommends installation approximately 0.2 m below the ceiling.
  • The mounting plate can be fixed to an embedded 86H50 junction box.
  • Route the DC power cable through the wiring inlet.
  • Observe the DC 12 V polarity before energizing the device.
  • Avoid locations exposed to excessive dust, corrosive substances, salt spray, direct sunlight or intense ultraviolet radiation.
  • Walls, metal structures and distance from the LoRaWAN gateway should be considered because they can affect wireless signal transmission.

Application Areas

Based on the applications stated in the manual, the AT-SS231 can be used for:

  • Indoor fire alarm notification
  • Warehouse safety warning
  • Industrial safety warning
  • Building management alarm output
  • Remote security alarm indication
  • LoRaWAN-based audible and visual notification systems
